I am a Master level CRLA certified tutor and have enjoyed tutoring at Bristol Community College since 2007. I am currently a Math and Physics tutor, and began as a writing and Astronomy tutor. I really enjoy sitting with students and helping them discover their unique learning styles, so even after our session is over they are better equipped for learning. People are always approaching me in my own classes at UMASS with questions and assume I am a teaching assistant, so I must exude some kind of "tutor vibe"! There is a big advantage to tutoring while still in school: sometimes teachers forget what it is like to not understand something. The ultimate combination for students is having a great teacher in class and a tutor who can help "zoom in" on some of the details in a one-on-one learning environment. I love being there for the "aha moment" when the student really understands the concepts they are developing.

Hobbies
I am a mom to a five year old boy and when I am not working or at school we are building with legos or playing outside! I love eating healthy, outdoor activities, and daily exercise. On a clear night I can be found at the telescope looking out at the universe! My dream jobs would be writing for Sky and Telescope magazine and working on Keck Telescope in Hawaii. My real passion is for teaching, and I know someday I will be surrounded by a classroom of my own students who can share my love for learning.
